(A) Workshop on Multi –Sectoral Management of Child Abuse and Neglect
On 06 November 2012, at Waters Edge Battaramulla from 08.30am to 2.00pm
& it was organized by the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians and the Medico- Legal Society in collaboration with Ministry of Child Development and Women’s Affairs( with the presence of Deputy Minister M.L.A.M.Hisbullh), Ministry of Education( with the presence of Deputy Minister Vijith Wijemuni Soyza)and Plan Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists and the College of Forensic Pathologists of Sri Lanka also take part in this workshop.

The objectives of the workshop were

1. To update on the recent improvements on the guideline on hospital based management of victims  
2. To evaluate the existing practices in supporting victims by the different stakeholders
3. To strengthen the existing multi-sectoral approach in the management of victims
4. To develop a sustainable psychosocial rehabilitation and follow up  mechanism
5. To start an advocacy process with the results of the workshop
